The TAMIU Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium is a one-of-a-kind teaching, learning, and special occasion space located on the campus of Texas A&M International University. The planetarium is open to the public for shows, star-gazing events, field trips, and private functions; the Planetarium reflects TAMIU’s commitment to service through educational engagement with the community. The TAMIU planetarium is one of the most sophisticated planetariums in the State of Texas and operates a state-of-the-art digital projection system. This new technology which was completely upgraded in late 2014, allows not only a view from planet Earth, but from any part of the known universe as well; allowing us to take audiences to spectacular unseen vistas, that can only be photographed by highly developed large telescopes.
